Poker Night at the Inventory is a poker video game developed by Telltale Games. It features four characters: Tycho from the Penny Arcade webcomic, Max from the Sam & Max franchise, the RED Heavy from Team Fortress 2, and Strong Bad from the Homestar Runner web series. The game was released on November 22, 2010.[1]
Plot[edit]
The Inventory is a secret club built underneath a video game storage warehouse. It was established in 1919, after a first draft of the 18th Amendment was acquired by a group of connected gamblers. It was discovered that it could not only outlaw libations, but games and amusements that could decrease the productivity of the national workforce. Despite this never coming to pass, the club has existed since in secret, just in case Congress tried to set prohibition into law. As a newcomer, the player competes in a friendly game of Texas Hold'emPoker with Max of Sam & Max, Strong Bad from Homestar Runner, Tycho from Penny Arcade, and the Heavy from Team Fortress 2. The player is first greeted by Reginald Van Winslow, former captain of the Screaming Narwhal, and sidekick to Guybrush Threepwood in Tales of Monkey Island. He explains the back story of the Inventory, and raises the blinds in game.

Poker Night is a computer-based Texas Hold 'Em poker simulation between the player as an unseen participant and the four characters, Max, Tycho, The Heavy, and Strong Bad. Each player starts with a $10,000 buy-in and stays in the game until they are broke, with the goal of the player being the last player standing. The game uses no-limit betting and a gradually-increasing blind bets over the course of several rounds. Randomly, one of the four non-playable characters will not be able to front the money but will offer one of their possessions as buy-in for the game. The player can win these items as Team Fortress 2 unlockable equipment only if he or she is the one to bust that non-player character out of the game. The game keeps track of the player's statistics over the course of several games, and by completing certain objects (such as number of hands or games won) can unlock different playing card or table artwork to customize the look of the game.[2]
The whole idea of this one play strategy is that you play the slot machine once with the highest amount possible. If you win, you play it again, if not you try another machine. Poker Night grew out of an idea from Telltale employees, wondering 'what video characters do when they're not 'on the clock' in the games we play', according to Telltale CEO Dan Conners.[5] From there, they pitched the idea to other companies in the industry and were able to work out which characters they would be able to include.[5] Telltale considered how the four characters would interact with each other, developing dialog, banter, and reactions to certain plays.[6] The characters, they decided, would be fully voiced, and would have distinctive tells and dynamic responses that would manifest themselves as the game progressed.[5] Conners stated that the goal was to create the experience of 'hanging out with their virtual buddies, shooting the breeze and playing a good game of poker'.[6] Telltale is considering a potential series based on this game using different characters in the future, but would need to see sales exceeding 100,000 to 200,000 units to make it feasible.[6]
Telltale Games have had previous experience working with several of the characters. Two of Telltale's episodic adventure series include three seasons of Sam & Max and Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People based on the Homestar Runner web series; both were developed in conjunction with the original creators, Steve Purcell[7] and The Brothers Chaps,[8] respectively. The appearance of Max and Strong Bad in Poker Night are based on the three-dimensional models from these games. The company's team were also fans of Valve's Team Fortress 2, including creating an informal team to participate in a competition between several game development studios; Telltale offered to create unique items based on Sam & Max to be given as a bonus gift for those who purchased the third season of Sam & Max through Steam, and formed a friendly working relationship with Valve as a result.[9]
Telltale aimed to make the game dialog-centric between the four featured characters. To that end, they created a large amount of dialog for each character and possible interactions between the characters; according to Jake Rodkin, Telltale's graphic designer, they wrote more lines of dialog for the game than a typical Sam & Max adventure episode.[2] Telltale always wanted to respect the original characters and worked with the individual creators and studios to improve the lines; they previously had gotten similar input from Matt Chapman for Strong Bad, while Jerry Holkins was extremely helpful to refine Tycho's character based on Telltale's draft dialog.[2][10] The developers also wanted to avoid any forced interactions, and instead developed what they felt were natural relationships: Tycho dislikes Strong Bad while getting along well with Max, while the Heavy looks upon Strong Bad as a tiny Heavy.[2] The characters are also written to be somewhat cognizant of their nature; according to Rodkin, Tych]]>

New UK Gambling Ad Restrictions Set in Place
Gambling companies are well-known to advertise heavily inside the UK. These ads appear on television regularly and make up a significant portion of many companies’ annual budget. In December of last year, the UK government mandated that gambling companies stop advertising during live sporting events. The goal was to prevent the rise of problem gamblers.
This week, a new set UK gambling ad restrictions were announced. Online gaming operators here must now cease any marketing activities toward people appearing to be under the age of 18. These companies must ensure they don’t advertise toward websites that cater to anyone under the legal gambling age.
These restrictions also apply to social media. Social media influencers whose audience is greater than 25% of people under the age of 18 cannot promote gambling companies. These companies cannot hire influencers on social media who appear under the age of 25, as well.
Will This Affect the UK’s Online Gambling Industry?
The most recent updates to the UK’s gambling advertising laws are intended to prevent children from gambling. A 2018 report from the UK Gambling Commission states that 39% of polled 11-16-year-olds had spent money gambling over a 12-month period. It’s a troubling statistic for a company focused on lowering their gambling addiction problem.
The real question here remains over how effective the ban will be. A social media ban toward under-18’s should be simple enough for these companies. Most social media platforms make it easy to target people in specific demographics.

The Committees of Advertising Practice has made it very clear that they don’t want children targeted by gambling ads.

Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre is a 2019 Chinese television series adapted from the Louis Chanovel, which is the third part of the Condor Trilogy. This remake is primarily based on the third edition of the novel. The series is the first adaptation to be released as a web series and was first broadcast on Tencent in China on February 27, 2019.[1][2]
Plot[edit]
In the late-Yuan dynasty, martial art sects and warriors throughout China fight for the Dragon Sabre, which has been hidden unintentionally. 'Legend said that whoever obtains the Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Saber can rule the world.'[3] Yu Daiyan retrieves the sword, but is later poisoned by Susu's brother, Yin Yewang. Susu arranges to transport the third brother back home to be treated, but an unknown mercenary cripples him.
Zhang Cuishan watches Tian Ying Sect give a demonstration of the dragon saber, only for it to be snatched by Xie Xun. After that, he brings Cuishan and Susu to a remote island, but their ship sinks. Cuishan and Susu arrive at Fire Ice Island. Xie Xun arrives at the same island the next day.
Susu gives birth to a son, and they name him Wuji in the memory of Xie Xun's son Xie Wuji. After ten years, Cuishan, Susu, and young Wuji leave the island without Xie Xun due to his choice to stay on the island and they return to the mainland. Upon reaching the mainland, they journey to Wudang. During the journey, Wuji is captured by one of the Xuan Ming Elders. Cuishan and Susu arrive at Wudang. Daiyan somehow recognizes Susu's voice. Cuishan takes responsibility for the many murders committed by Susu in the past and kills himself in front of multiple sects. Sanfeng and Susu rescue Wuji, then Susu kills herself. Wuji collapses because he is poisoned by the toxic chill of the Xuan Ming Divine Palm.
In a separate story arc, Miejue and her Emei disciples attack Yang Xiao. Yang Xiao kidnaps Xiaofu in front of everyone. Yang Xiao asks Xiaofu to take care of an orphan girl named Yan'er who had endured abuse for one month. After one month, Xiaofu wants to return to Emei and Yang Xiao tells her that Miejue will consider that she and he have something between them and must be killed. Xiaofu tells Yang Xiao that the Heavenly Reliant Sword means a lot to Miejue and she tricks Yang Xiao into promising never to see her again. Yang Xiao steals the Heavenly Reliant Sword from its Mongolian owner and secretly returns it to Emei. Xiaofu secretly left Emei and gives birth to a girl named Yang Buhui
Wuji leaves behind a note to Sanfeng that the god of mercy admires him and will cure him, then he runs away. Wuji lies by a tree and prepares to die but a girl named Zhou Zhiruo saves his life. Zhiruo's father looks for Yuchun. The next day, Zhiruo's father was ambushed and captured. He was brought to the market where Wuji and Zhiruo were selling oranges. The soldiers forced Zhirou's father to tell them the whereabouts of Chang Yuchun but he told them he doesn't know. Sanfeng arrives to save the day, but it was too late for Zhiruo's father and he dies. Yuchun brings Wuji to see Divine Physician Hu Qingniu. Qingniu does not want to treat Wuji's cold chill. By accident, he felt Wuji's pulse and changes his mind. Wuji studies Qingniu's books and he acquires some medical skills.
Miejue defeats Gold Flower Granny. Later, Miejue kills Xiaofu in grief for choosing Yang Xiao over Er Mei and this is witnessed by Wuji and Buhui. Wuji sends Buhui to her father Yang Xiao, then went on a journey back to Wudang. On the way home, Wuji rescues a monkey from dogs and he is injured by the dogs. The Zhu family tricks him to reveal Xie Xun's location. Wuji jumps off a cliff to and Mr. Zhu saves him. Both of them are alive but they are trapped on a small ledge. Wuji crawls through a narrow tunnel and later removes the Nine Yang Divine manual from an old ape and he masters it. Nine Yang Divine Skill allows Wuji to cure his cold poison.
Mr. Zhu kicks Wuji off the ledge. Wuji lands in a house and accidentally broke both his legs. Zhu'er helps him. Zhu'er attacks Jiu Zhen with her spider poison. At that time, Emei disciples are guests at Jiu Zhen's home. Emei disciples capture Zhu'er and Wuji.
Zhu'er and Wuji escape, but the attempt is short-lived. Emei disciples bring Zhu'er and Wuji as prisoners on their way to Bright Peak to exterminate Ming Cult. Wuji has an opportunity to privately speak to Zhiruo when looking for a herb.
Wuji receives three very powerful punches from Miejue to save the lives and limbs of Ming Cult prisoners. Shuo Bude captures Wuji and brings him to the throne room. Wuji saves Ming Cult from extermination and reluctantly becomes the head of Ming Cult.
Wuji and Ming Cult folks set out to bring Xie Xun from the remote island. On the way, they come across the sixth brother with all joints broken. The Ming Cult people go to Shao Lin and it is very strange that nobody is there. Wuji rushes to Wu Dang to save Wu Dang from extermination. Wuji uses Taiji Fist and Taiji Swordplay on the Mongolian princess Zhao Min's people.

Report from Barbara, June 6, 2009 We stayed there for a night in Feb 2009. We parked in a lot just east of the casino. There were a couple of other RV's parked. You are right on the water. It was quiet and fine for a night. We left early and went into Gulfport for coffee.

The closest one to the casino is pretty busy , the one farthest away is valet only so that leaves the middle lot as the best for RVs. The best area in this lot is the section by US 90. The casino is very nice and has a large selection of slot machines. There's only one small area with video poker machines. We ate at the lunch buffet and although the food was okay none of it was hot so we probably would not eat there again. There's a good public beach a few blocks from the casino.

If one of the Mario Bros. were picked as the 'champion' racer (which happened if you chose Bowser or Koopa Troopa), you could expect perfect racing lines and cornering coupled with infinite and arbitrary use of the Super Star, allowing them to go at increased speed with no slowing down, plus invincibility. Having one of the plumbers trigger this on the final stretch, powering either past or through the player and being unable to stop regardless of what's fired at them (or even more annoyingly, just as that red shell was about to knock them out of first place) meant that it was often easier just to start a new game and hope you didn't get one of them as the top racer again.
The character selection in Super Mario Kart is arbitrary. The order of the racers is chosen by which racer you chose, it's the same every time. You can alter it but knocking them down a few places in the last lap, and then crossing the finish line before they catch up. If the screen fades to black before they overtake anyone, they are stuck in that position. What's different? What stays the same? And, more importantly, is this still the best Android phone that $179 can buy?

A couple weeks ago I described the Kogan Agora 4G as a Moto G for people who liked larger, 5-inch screens. Now the Moto G is a Moto G for people who like larger, 5-inch screens.
There are a few other changes to the new version of the Moto G, but the bigger screen (and the corresponding larger body) is the only one that's really worth mentioning. Everything else about the display panel is the same as it was back in December—using the same 720p resolution in a larger display leads to a somewhat lower pixel density (294 PPI, compared to 329 PPI in the original), but it's not so much lower that you really notice when you're reading e-books or viewing images or browsing the Internet. The screen even retains the same vaguely purplish cast, a less-than-perfect aspect of the panel that you don't really notice as much in isolation, but you definitely see when the Moto G is sitting next to a Nexus 5 or a Moto X.

The primary casualty here is contrast—looking at a white element on top of a light grey element (the Chrome address bar, for one) on the new Moto G and the new Moto X demonstrates that it's just harder to tell the difference on the Moto G's display. Blacks aren't as black, either, though this is true to some extent for any LCD display competing against an AMOLED display (AMOLED features essentially 'infinite' contrast, since black pixels are just switched all the way off; in an LCD panel those black pixels are still lit). Happily, though, our new Moto G doesn't appear to have the backlight bleed across the top of the screen that the first Moto G did. The screen is still great for the price, it just won't be mistaken for a high-end IPS panel.
If you've seen and held the first-generation Moto G, you know what to expect from this one. It's got solid all-plastic construction, and our black model came with a curved rubberized back panel that feels nice in the hand. Our hands, already accustomed to relatively large phones like the Nexus 5 and HTC One M8, didn't find the larger size of the Moto G objectionable, but if you were interested in the phone primarily because of its smaller size you might be disappointed to see it join the 5-inches-and-up club.
The back of the phone can still be peeled off with some effort to expose the SIM slot, though the battery remains inaccessible. You can see the cutout for a second SIM slot in our pictures, but you won't actually find a slot there in US versions of the phone. New to the vanilla Moto G is a micro SD slot that can boost the 8GB of internal storage by up to 32GB. Both the LTE version of the first Moto G and the Moto E support micro SD storage, but the original Moto G didn't have any—we'd still recommend springing for the 16GB model even if you plan to add an SD card.
The phone can be purchased in either black or white, and the choice you make dictates the color of both the removable backplate and the front face. You can change the color of the backplate by buying $14.95 replacement plates or $29.99 flip covers in any of six colors, just as you could with the original Moto G. It can't rival the Moto X for sheer customizability, but it's a cheaper version of the same idea.
Having a removable back makes the phone just a bit thicker and heavier than the new Moto X, and that was also true of the old Moto G and X. Progressive texas holdem poker rules. The result is the closest thing to a 'stock' Android experience this side of a Nexus phone, and Motorola is promising at least one software update to replace the version of Android the phone is currently running (4.4.4). The Bonus bet will pay based only the player's and dealer's initial cards, according to the pay table posted.

According to Scott McIntosh the house edge is 5.5935% under the Atlantic City rules. I trust this figure because we agree exactly on the Las Vegas rules.
Strategy
The following is when the player should fold according to the rules.
Las Vegas: unsuited 2/3 to 2/7.
Atantic City: unsuited 2/3 to 2/7, and unsuited 3/4.
I have not quantified the strategy past the first decision point. I can say that under the Las Vegas rules the player who made the Flop bet will make the Turn bet 43.13% of the time, and the River bet 48.46% of the time. If the player made the turn bet, then he will also make the river bet 85.76% of the time. If the player made the flop bet, but not the turn bet, he will make the river bet 15.78% of the time.
